How the Candy Drive started

It is not every day that you see a mountain of candy at a dental office. This November, though, Drs. Ali at the Wellesley Dental Group say “Bring it on and keep it coming!”

Once again it is time for our annual Candy Drive. What began as a way to keep cavities off the streets, has blossomed into a five year Wellesley community tradition that keeps on growing. Working closely with local schools, daycares and community organizations, children (and adults!) are encouraged to donate extra candy as well as handwritten letters and cards to servicemen stationed overseas. Join us as we strive to beat last year’s record of 2,500 pounds and bring smiles to countless soldiers!

Donations for the Candy Drive will be happily accepted from Thursday, November 1 through Friday, November 9 at the Wellesley Dental Group on 5 Seaward Rd in Wellesley. We request that all donations be dropped off during business hours: Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and on Fridays from 8am to 1pm. From our office in Wellesley, all the candy and letters will be shipped overseas to the soldiers via CarePacks, a non-profit organization
