Nutrition Myths Debunked

There are numerous articles, claims, and studies in the media that proclaim certain foods are either good or bad for us. It’s hard to know what to believe! However, recent findings have debunked several myths that are thought to be true.

One such claim is that “superfoods” are better than other foods. The term “superfood” has yet to be defined by a federal agency or food organization. It is more than likely a word coined by the media to trick consumers into buying certain things.

Another claim is that multi-vitamins are needed to be healthy. This is not always the case. Most people can get the vitamins they need by eating a balanced diet. There is a select group that may need to take vitamins to cover a deficiency brought on by a health issue.
