Ejaz Ali, D.M.D. — Dr. Ejaz Ali graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1982 and completed a year-long, full-mouth reconstruction course at New York University. Femina Ali, D.M.D. — Dr. Femina Ali graduated from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1997. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Ali stays current with developing technology and treatment modalities, to ensure her patients receive the best quality of care.
A dedicated member of the community, Dr. Ali is involved in everything from speaking at local schools to serving on multiple organizations such as Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club. Every year, she participates in the Wonderful Weekend of Wellesley, in the local parade and the picnic, to spread the message of oral health and prevention.
Zarah Ali, D.M.D. — Following in her parents’ esteemed footsteps, Dr. Zarah Ali attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and graduated magna cum laude. A member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society, she continually learns more about cosmetic dentistry, new technology, and facial aesthetics in order to offer her patients the best in dentistry. Since the field constantly evolves, it is important for Dr. Ali to stay on top of all the latest developments through continuing education.
A Wellesley native at heart, Dr. Ali feels fortunate to have been raised in such a wonderful community. She is involved in the Wonderful Weekend of Wellesley ever year; if she looks familiar, it’s probably because she was the Tooth Fairy in the parade for many years growing up! In the past, Dr. Ali has traveled to Zambia to provide dental care to underserved populations, and plans to do so again in the future
Mohammad Hassan Barra, D.M.D. –As a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Massachusetts Dental Society, Dr. Barra is committed to continuing education, especially in the areas of cosmetic dentistry. Lately, his studies of digital smile design have allowed him to create the ideal smile for patients based on facial analysis, pre-existing dental conditions, and each patient’s individual preferences. This concept brings together technology and dentistry, allowing multiple specialties to view and share treatment options and create a complete comprehensive guide on how to properly care for the patient and restore the patient to ideal oral health.
Dr. Barra grew up in Northern Virginia before moving to Boston for dental school. He met his wife, Dr. Zarah Ali, while studying at Tufts. They love to explore the city, travel, go to spin classes, and watch football games. He’s still a Redskins fan at heart!
Derek Leung , D.M.D. — Dr. Leung received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and English. He attended Boston University where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and continued his training at Tufts University for pediatrics dentistry. In addition to his training, Dr. Leung has received the Humanitarian Award from the International College of Dentists and received honors in civic commitment and community service. Medha Singh, D.M.D., Periodontist, M.S. — Dr. Medha Singh received her doctorate, certificate in periodontology, and Master of Science from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Singh also completed a fellowship in Oral Implantology from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine
Dr. Singh has served on the faculty at both Tufts and Harvard. At Tufts, she focused her research on drug therapies for managing periodontal disease, and published her findings in various issues of the Journal of Dental Research. She has also travelled internationally to present her work at leading conferences, including the International Association for Dental Research, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Oral Medicine
Emad Abdallah, D.M.D., Orthodontist, M.S. — Dr. Abdallah received his doctorate degree, certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Temporomandibular Joint disorders (TMJ) and Orofacial pain from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston Massachusetts. The American Board of Orofacial Pain certified him as a Diplomate in 1996. Dr. Abdallah has been on staff at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine since 1995 and is currently an Assistant Professor. He has published extensively and continues to lecture nationally and internationally in both Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain.
Leyla Masoudi, R.D.H. — Leyla graduated from the dental hygiene program at Mount Ida College. She lives in Needham with her husbandand twin ten year old daughters. The new technology at Drs. Ali’s office has allowed her to provide a more thorough and efficient experience for her patients. She enjoys communicating with the patients and helping them understand what is happening in their mouths.
Tanya Ashmiana, R.D.H. — Tanya is a graduate of Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. She has been with the Wellesley Dental Group for the last eight years, and lives in Sharon. Seeing the inner workings of dentistry here at the office helped her feel at ease with a decision to pursue dentistry as a career.
