Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth extraction is a very common procedure performed in dental offices. Wisdom teeth, or your third set of molars, typically come in between the ages of 17 and 25. Some wisdom teeth may be aligned correctly, but most of the time they are not. If these teeth are not removed, a host of problems can occur. Some of which are:

• The teeth may be misaligned and come in at an angle.
• The jaw may not be large enough for these molars, and this can cause the wisdom teeth to be impacted, meaning they cannot break through the gums.
• Impacted teeth can lead to an increased likelihood of infection, as well as damage to other teeth and bones.

It may seem like a frightening procedure, but you can be sure our surgeon, Dr. Ghazi, will do whatever he can to make you comfortable. He will be happy to meet with you and go over any questions or concerns you may have.
